PROMPT #1
"WHAT WASHED ASHORE"
A tribute to the Boiler at Boiler Beach, a landmark that reflects how memory, place, and time can leave marks – some rusted, some resilient.

PROMPT #2
"MISSED CONNECTIONS"
This scene formed like a quiet ache, two figures share a bench and a sunset – one present, one remembered – revealing how connection can linger long after physical presence fades.

PROMPT #3
"A COLLECTION OF TREASURES"
A childhood moment preserved: A child’s hands weren’t enough, so her skirt became a cradle – gathering feathers, driftwood, and stones the way we gather moments, trying to carry home everything that made us feel wonder. Our shoreline holds many treasures – a memory, a stone – all beautifully shaped by the waves of Lake Huron.

Angel number 1313, deeply meaningful to my family, is a reminder to embrace change and new beginnings. It encourages prioritizing personal passions, trusting intuition, and letting creative expression lead the way. This number also speaks to the importance of sharing your truth, using your voice to inspire others, and staying true to your path as you grow and evolve.

Shaped by the Shore - Walker House, Kincardine, ON
Artistic Reflections of Lake Huron, a theme highlighting how local artists draw inspiration from Lake Huron’s deep-rooted history and its ever-changing nature. Exploring both the historical influence of the lake on local culture and how contemporary artists interpret and express their connection to the water today.

VOYAGER'S FAREWELL
Once a floating restaurant in Kincardine Harbour, the Avalon Voyager set said for Owen Sound in October 1980. My father was aboard during its final voyage. After encountering distress in gale force winds just outside of Tobermory, the W.A. Spears came to its rescue, a courageous and swift response, bringing everyone to safety.
I've used my father's old paints, blending memory and legacy into the canvas. This painting is a tribute and a farewell to a vessel, a moment, and a chapter of local history. It reflects the lake's ability to shape lives and stories, even in parting.

Tell Me A Story Art Show - Grey Matter, Kincardine, ON
In this enchanting series, driftwood washed ashore by the waves of Lake Huron transforms into doorways to magical realms. Each piece, lovingly wrapped in vibrant wool left over from cherished knitting projects, tells a unique story. From wintery forests to underwater paradises, "That's a Wrap!" invites viewers to escape into fantastical worlds where nature and imagination intertwine.

THE WHISPERING BIRCH
In the hush of a snow-covered forest, silver-white birch trees stand tall, shrouded in a dreamy winter fog. Each thread of wool whispers secrets of the forest—of quiet animals darting through the trees and moonlight dancing on frozen streams. This piece invites you to step into the stillness and listen to the stories carried on the frosty air.

CORAL'S EMBRACE
Like a frozen moment of the ocean’s artistry, the coral twists and flourishes, its branches stretching like an underwater forest sculpted by time and tide. A tapestry of vibrant hues weave together, mimicking the living reefs that cradle marine life in their delicate arms. Each curve and branch tells a silent story of the sea – of waves that shape, of tides that nurture, and of a world both fragile and resilient.

THE OLD TREE
In a quiet clearing, an old tree stands alone, its bark etched with time, whispering secrets only the trees remember. Once part of a vast forest, it now stands as the last of a forgotten woodland, reminding us that nature is not infinite – it is delicate, fleeting, and in need of our care. The tree bends but does not break, a quiet lesson in resilience, urging us to tread gently, to listen closely, and to protect what remains before the whispers fade to silence.
